As you may recall the celebrity team penning event at last year's Colusa Western Days was a huge success.  Many local celebrities turned out to participate with their supporters cheering them on.  In light of this we have decided to continue the tradition and once again ask you to nominate local celebrities to participate in this years event.  Celebrities don't have to be experienced riders however comfort around horses would be preferable.  There will be a demonstration prior to the event so that the celebrities are familiar with how team penning is carried out.  Individuals selected to participate in the event can bring their own horse to the event or a gentle horse will be provided for their use.

Please consider nominating any celebrity in your midst and come prepared April 4th, 2008 following the Colusa Western Days parade to cheer them on.  We hope to get a good representation from throughout Colusa County.  Nominations will be accepted in response to this e-mail or by calling Bonnie Davies at 458-4948.  All nominations will be reviewed by the Western Days Committee and selected participants will be contacted with event details.
